Guide To Getting Free Gifts

Why Free?

The freebie scene may seem too good to be true to the newcomer, indeed many people will probably dismiss it saying such things as 'there's no such thing as a free lunch.'

If this appears to be you, then please read on because on this page we aim to dispell any such myths, and bring you the facts on how the freebie scene works, and why it exists.

So Who Pays For My Gift?

Each freebie site is sponsored by several companies, such as Lovefilm and HSBC bank, aswell as many more reputable companies. When you first sign up to the site, you are asked to complete an offer. Lovefilm, say. When you have completed the offer, Lovefilm will pay the freebie site a set fee, perhaps £20 shall we say for the purposes of our calculation. This is the price they have deemed it reasonable to pay for the new customer (you) who has just signed up.

Once you have done this you are asked to refer some friends, the number of friends depends on your selected free gift. If for example you choose a free PS3, then you'll be asked to refer 15 people. These 15 people must also complete an offer from the selection provided. Lets just say each of these people also signs up to Lovefilm, the freebie site will then be paid the £20 fee 15 times, which equals £300. This, plus the £20 for your own offer totals £320, which is enough for the freebie site to purchase your Playstation 3 and send it out. Leaving a little also as profit for themselves.
